Okra and Tomato Casserole

My father would have just *adored* this.

Okra and Tomato Casserole

4 cups sliced okra
1 lg. can tomatoes (diced or whole chopped) with liquid
1 16-oz. pkg. frozen green lima beans
1 16-oz. pkg. frozen corn
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 Tbsp. cornmeal
2 Tbsp. oil
1 tsp. white pepper
Salt to taste

Toss okra with cornmeal. Shake off excess. Heat oil in skillet, onion and
cook until soft. Add okra and cook 2-3 minutes over med. high heat. Add
remaining ingredients with about 1/4 cup water. Lower heat and simmer until
okra is tender. Add more liquid if desired.
