Link exchange rant.

So here I am submitting sites. I come across a directory to submit to.

In bold red; it says, when you find a category to submit to:

Please do not submit your website before adding a reciprocal link to us on your links page!

You may add any font tags (color, font etc.) but oherwise DO NOT alter the link code.
Isn’t kind of them to allow me to alter stuff on *my own website*??

And:

Please note that we will check for this reciprocal link before adding your website to the directory!

Ok; the way this directory is setup it does not have clean links. It redirects the links. And I will say the category only has 30-40 entries for my categories.

But if these people had a contact form I’m afraid I would have to insist that they use my requirements for my link info. Jeez. Please note I would allow them to change the font; color to match their site.

This really ticked me off for some reason. I mean; how dare they.

When I am in submit mode; I have pages open ready to put in reciprocal link code, and I’m quite happy to do so with reciprocal linking. I don’t do anything unethical either: I’m always on the up and up. People who do this with link exchanges just burn me up.
